We are a group of neuro-academicians, both neuro-clinicians and basic neuroscientists in the city of Kolkata, India. Since 2008, we have been organizing meetings under the umbrella of NeuroUpdate.  The fourteenth NeuroUpdate meeting is scheduled for November 25 & 26, 2023. The conference will be held at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Jadavpur, Kolkata, India. Your participation and active support are solicited. We welcome all suggestions that may fulfill the purpose of NeuroUpdate.

Clinical Outcome Research

EPILEPSY Epilepsy is a central nervous system (neurological) disorder in which brain activity becomes abnormal, causing seizures or periods of unusual behavior, sensations, and sometimes loss of awareness.
STROKE A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted or reduced, preventing brain tissue from getting oxygen and nutrients. Brain cells begin to die in minutes. A stroke is a medical emergency, and prompt treatment is crucial.
PARKINSON'S DISEASE A disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement, often including tremors. Nerve cell damage in the brain causes dopamine levels to drop, leading to the symptoms of Parkinson's.
TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY Traumatic brain injury usually results from a violent blow or jolt to the head or body. An object that goes through brain tissue, such as a bullet or shattered piece of skull, also can cause traumatic brain injury. Mild traumatic brain injury may affect your brain cells temporarily.

About  Neuro Update Kolkata

The aim of Neuro Update Kolkata, as the word simply, is to bring to a single platform both neurobiologists and neurologists to update our selves on the recent understandings in the field of neuroscience so as to derive maximum benefit to neuroscience research community with direct relevance to patient care. We expect these regular, yearly meetings will generate newer information and create initiatives for providing affordable healthcare strategies for the coming days.This year the proposed topics will include emerging areas of neuroscience and neurology such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, rare CNS disordersandyoga as nonconventional therapy for neurological disorders as cure for neurological disorders. A unique session will be dedicated for deliberations from young talents.
